Description: |
Translation of the Japanese comic book, "Hadashi no Gen," published in 1972. |
| Editorial Board Review: |
This is a powerful message about Hiroshima and atomic bomb in the form of a comic book. The protagonist's story of his struggle to survive the atomic bomb and its aftermath is based on the real experience of the author, who was 7 when the A Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. The title of the original manga is "Hadashi no Gen," which comes in 10 volumes, published by Choobunsha, Tokyo. (MF) |
